Bring Your Own Creators
My Creators
My Creators lets brands invite creators who exist outside of Collabstr on to the platform through a streamlined sign up process. This provides a structured way to manage creator onboarding, campaign invitations, collaborations, and payments in one place for creators you are working with outside of the Collabstr marketplace.
This article explains how My Creators works for brands and what to expect when inviting creators. This feature is only available to brands on a monthly subscription.
Quick definitions
Brand invite link
A link a brand shares with a creator to invite them to join Collabstr through that brand.
Brand-level invite
An invite tied to the brand as a whole. After signing up, creators are taken to the brand’s profile to browse and apply to active campaigns.
Campaign invite
An invite tied to a specific campaign. After signing up, creators are taken directly to that campaign’s application. If the campaign is no longer active, a fallback experience is shown.
My Creators
External creators who have joined your organization on Collabstr via an invite link. All of your externally invited creators are shown in the "My Creators" brand dashboard page, where you will be able to manage existing creators and generate invite links for new creators.
For brands
What My Creators means for brands
My Creators is built for brands that already have creator relationships outside of Collabstr, or want to recruit creators directly, and want to:
- Onboard creators into Collabstr in a clean and consistent way
- Track invited creators in one place
- Invite creators to campaigns without manual back-and-forth
- Keep collaboration and payments inside Collabstr
What this means for creators
Creators invited through My Creators are typically creators who already know your brand or are being recruited directly for the purpose of being added to your organization on Collabstr.
A brand invite:
- Streamlines the creator onboarding process so creators can join your organization and apply to your campaigns in under 5 minutes
- Does not automatically mean the creator accepted paid work
- Does not lock the creator into a contract
- Gives the creator a clear path to collaborate with your brand on Collabstr
- Allows the creator to optionally set up a marketplace profile for additional opportunities
Where to find My Creators
Brands manage invited creators through the My Creators tab in the dashboard.
This page includes:
- A table of invited and joined creators, sorted by join date
- The ability to generate and share brand-level invite links
- The ability to invite creators to specific campaigns
- A one-time explainer modal that appears the first time you open My Creators
How the brand flow works
1. Invite creators from My Creators
From the My Creators page, you can share:
- A brand-level invite link
- A campaign invite link generated when inviting a creator to a specific campaign
2. Creators onboard through a branded landing page
Invite links take creators to a branded landing and signup experience, instead of requiring you to send custom instructions or links.
3. Creators complete onboarding and verification
Once a creator finishes onboarding and verification, they appear in your My Creators list and you will be able to collaborate with them immediately.
4. Automatic notification emails are sent to your team
You will receive an email when:
- A creator completes onboarding and verification using your invite link
- The creator is now visible in My Creators
Emails are not sent when:
- A creator did not join through your invite link
- A creator already exists in your My Creators list, to avoid duplicate notifications
5. Invite creators to campaigns from My Creators
You can invite a creator to any active or ended campaign directly from My Creators.
- Campaigns a creator is already invited to are disabled, this prevents duplicate campaign invitations
- If a campaign is ended, you can still invite creators to it via the My Creators feature, and they will be able to apply to the campaign
6. Creators are routed after verification
- Brand-level invite
Creators are taken to your brand profile to browse and apply to campaigns.
- Campaign invite
Creators are taken directly to the campaign application. If the campaign is ended, this just means that Collabstr is no longer advertising the campaign publicly on the marketplace, the creators with direct invites to the campaign will still be allowed to apply.
Fees for brands
Depending on your plan, brands may pay a platform fee on orders with creators invited through My Creators.
- Invited creators pay 0 percent marketplace fees on orders with your brand and receive 100% of collaboration payments
- Platform fees for brands vary by plan
Frequently asked questions
Does inviting a creator mean they are committed to working with us?
No. Inviting a creator adds them to your creator network on Collabstr and makes it easy to route them to campaigns. Creators still choose which collaborations to accept. You can send your creators one-off orders, or invite them to campaigns.
What if we invite a creator to a campaign but it ends before they join Collabstr?
If the campaign is no longer active, creators with invite links will still be able to apply to the campaign.
Why use My Creators instead of messaging creators directly?
My Creators centralizes invited creators, provides a branded onboarding experience, improves attribution, and supports a clean campaign and collaboration workflow.
Troubleshooting
I invited a creator but do not see them in My Creators yet
Creators appear in My Creators after they complete onboarding and verification. You will also receive an email once they become visible, if they joined through your invite link.
