How to Cancel an Order

Sometimes circumstances change, and you may need to cancel an order you placed with an influencer. Collabstr allows brands to request cancellations directly through the platform. Payments are held in escrow until the order is completed or cancelled, ensuring fair handling for both sides.


When you submit a cancellation request:


  • You can do so directly from your Orders Dashboard.
  • Payments remain securely in escrow until the request is resolved.
  • Both the brand and influencer must agree before a cancellation is finalized. If the influencer does not respond within 72 hours, the order is automatically cancelled and refunded.
  • Once approved, funds are returned to your Collabstr account balance. You can use them for future orders or withdraw them to your original payment method.
  • If there is a dispute, Collabstr support can step in to mediate.


How to Cancel an Order


1. Open Your Order


  • Go to your Orders Dashboard.
  • Select the order you want to cancel.
  • Note: Only orders in the In-Progress stage can be cancelled.


2. Submit a Cancellation Request


  • In the order details section, click Cancel Order.
  • Provide a reason for the cancellation so the influencer understands.


3. Wait for Influencer Response


  • The influencer has 72 hours to accept your cancellation request.
  • If they do not respond within that time, the order will be automatically cancelled and refunded.


4. Resolution and Refund


  • If your request is accepted (or auto-approved after 72 hours), the order will be closed and funds refunded to your Collabstr account balance.
  • If the influencer declines or you revoke the request, the order will continue as normal.
  • If there is disagreement, Collabstr support may review and help determine the outcome.


5. Confirmation


  • Finalized cancellations are removed from your dashboard.
  • Refunds are added to your account balance. You can either use them for a new order or withdraw them to your payment method.

Can I cancel an order after content has been submitted?

Yes, you can still request to cancel an order if content has been submitted.


How long do refunds take?

Refunds to your Collabstr account balance are instant. If you withdraw to your original payment method, it may take 5–10 business days to arrive.


What happens if the influencer doesn’t respond to my cancellation request?

If there is no response within 72 hours, the order is automatically cancelled and refunded.


Can I revoke my cancellation request?

Yes. If you and the influencer resolve the issue, you can revoke your request and continue with the order.


Will the influencer still be paid if I cancel?

No. Influencers are only paid when you approve the content. Cancelled orders are refunded to you.
